Chairman of Al-Wasat New Party.

Director of the International Center of Studies since 1995.

Board member of Egypt Institute for Culture &Dialogue that was founded in 2000.

Member of the Arab Team for Muslim-Christian Dialogue since 1999.

Member of Euro-Arab-American Team for Dialogue since 2004.

Member of Egyptian-German Dialogue which is organized by the Evangelical

Coptic Authority since 2003.

He was nominated for the Egyptian Parliamentary elections, 1995 cycle for
Helwan district, Cairo.

He has various studies & researches in Islamic & Politics areas.

Arrested:
The coup Ministry of Interior arrested him on charges of insulting the judicial authorities,
murder, attempted murder, joining an organization that aims to disrupt law and
constitution, possession of firearms and white weapons by others, attacking the state
property, practicing bullying, terrorizing citizens and using violence against them, he
was transferred to Tora prison.
