Interpreters & Translators School 1: Tarrant County College District

The Associate of Applied Science Degree prepares students to take the basic level exam offered by the Board of Evaluators for Interpreters in the state of Texas. In addition to the courses required for a certificate, students take advanced courses and complete a required practicum. This program offers students the opportunity to become part of the Deaf Community and Professional Organizations.

If you've never attended Collin College or if you have not attended during the last two long semesters (16 weeks) or more, an application is necessary. You're welcome to apply online (note:deadline for Spring 2014 is January 10, 2014). The schedule of classes is also available online. If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions and Records Office. Step 2: Provide proof of meningitis vaccination (if needed) and submit official transcripts. Step 3: Assessment Testing, if needed. For testing information click here. Step 4: Visit with an Academic Advisor to determine Degree Plans. Visit the Advisingsection of this site for complete information concerning Collin's Academic Advisors and the Advising process. Step 5: Build your class schedule by selecting credit classes from e-schedule. The e-schedule can be accessed in the Academics section of this website or via CougarWeb.Determine convenient campus locations, class days/times, and obtain the class call number. Step 6: Register through CougarWeb. Current students will sign on using their current CougarWeb username (which is the first part of their CougarMail email address, i.e. jsmith138). The password is the last six digits of the Campus Wide ID (CWID). If you do not have your username and password, you may email CougarWeb@collin.edu. Requests should include the student's full legal name and date of birth. Upon completion of the admissions process, new students to Collin will automatically get an email from the Admissions and Records Office that provides the following information: CougarWeb username; CougarWeb
