General Assembly Saudi Arabia (Keiran Eagen) A Peaceful Solution for Israel-Palestine The Security Council and General

Assembly, Recognizing that the actions taken by the General Assembly will affect many people even if they are not involved in the violence that has been happening between the two peoples, Israelis and Palestinians, Taking into consideration that Saudi Arabia supported the Palestinians during the 50 Years War and that Saudi Arabia and Israel have not had a strong diplomatic relationship in the past, Bearing in mind that the relationship between Palestinians and Israelis has been violent and their relationship will not help during negotiations if they continue to be hostile towards each other, Deeply concerned by their relationship and the problems it is creating with violence and the terrorism that has taken advantage of the area because of this conflict, Guided by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 17. (1) Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others. (Universal Declaration of Human Rights), Guided by United Nations General Assembly Resolution 194 11. Resolves that the refugees wishing to return to their homes and live at peace with their neighbours should be permitted to do so at the earliest practicable date (United Nations General Assembly Resolution 194) Having studied the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Saudi Arabia concludes that Palestinian rights are being infringed on, Aware of the illegal settlements that are located in the West Bank and that they are in violation of Resolution 446, Which declares all settlements in Gaza and the West Bank illegal. (UN Security Council Resolution 446, Israel) 1. Encourages that the United Nations follows the borders set by Resolution 181; a. The West Bank and the Gaza strip will be a Palestinian state, b. The border for the Palestinian state, from the South to North, will begin by Beersheba travel through Hebron and on to Acre and the Lebanon border, the Gaza Strip will remain the same,

c. Jerusalem will be designated as an international zone, 2. Further requests that Israeli soldiers are removed from the set Palestinian state as soon as possible; a. Leaving soldiers by the border and at checkpoints is acceptable for the safety of both peoples, 3. Calls upon the surrounding Arab states (Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia) to attempt at peace treaties between their country and Israel, also that the surrounding Arab states support their fellow Arabs by encouraging these treaties; 4. Requests that all of the above (Setting new borders, removing Israeli soldiers, making peace treaties) be completed within a year of this document being passed; 5. Confirms that Israel and Palestinian leaders will be raised to the highest position in this ordeal and that the surrounding countries will provide aid and any help needed with the logistics of this change; 6. Strongly supports countries to offer aid to the Israeli Government and to the Palestinian leaders, and will consider trading more between the countries that offer aid; 7. Affirms that force will be used by the surrounding Arab states, to set the borders outlined by Resolution 181, if Israel does not comply, and all attempts to create peace treaties will be withdrawn; 8. Expresses its hope that this resolution will create peace between the two peoples and that they may have diplomatic or even friendly relations in the future.
