Censorship has always been a very delicate subject that has brought a lot of conflict between the government

and the people, who like to transmit their different ideas and points of view to others. I believe that a moderate censorship is the best option, limited by factors that avoid emotional and physical damage to others, but beyond that type of censorship any other shouldn't exist. People need to express themselves and communicate ideas, these are the factors that make a better and free society. That's the reason why I chose to reject censorship. Censorship in Oceania is a tool that the government uses to control the flow of information, stopping the ideas of rebels to propagate and change the minds of others against the Big Brother, who is the unexisting leader in the story, loved or apparently loved by the proles, the inner and the outer party. The only "legal" type of information that is not censured is the one that supports the B.B., like posters of propaganda and the party slogans. Any other kind of information is prohibited by the government and punished by the thoughtpolice. Ignorance is strength is part of the slogan of the party. It goes along the whole idea of censorship and oppression. A society composed by liberty of expression is the opposite side of the government in Oceania. Its not only censorship that is applied in London, but also a constant modification of historical events that occurred all around the world, and which people believe to avoid any problem with the thoughtpolice.
