    BI-Admin Management Tools Installation


    You need a management tool to configure the print server such as protocol used, TCP/IP address, Domain Name, SNMP and Logical port setting etc. Procedure:
    1.

    Place installation CD into the CD-ROM Drive; the setup screen will open automatically

    2.

    If the autorun does not start, execute D:\setup.exe if the drive letter of CD-ROM Drive is D

    3.

    click Print Server Installation. Then click Management Tools and Driver. The following screen appears.

    click BiAdmin to start the software installation

    After the installation, launch BiAdmin program by clicking Start Programs Planet BiAdmin Planet BiAdmin

    6.

    click InitDevice Connected Protocol

    7.

    Depend on the network environment, select the appropriate protocol ( TCP/IP, IPX/SPX, NETBEUI)

    8.

    If TCP/IP protocol is chosen, input TCP/IP setting by clicking Configuration and TCP/IP select Dynamic IP Address or Fixed IP Address. Input IP address, Gateway Address and Subnet Mask if Fixed IP address is chosen.

    9.

    If NET BEUI protocol is used, click Configuration and NETBEUI input Domain Name in the field and click Save to Device to finish.

    10.

    Now the print server configuration is finished. You can continue the installation on the network workstations. The workstation installation is different for the protocol and the operating system you used. Basically you can have 3 choices of printing method: - TCP/IP Printing (Recommended if Windows NT / 2000 server existed) - PTP for TCP/IP - PTP for NETBEUI Refer to the related document for details.
