Potential Obstacles
As with any team joined together to meet shared goals, we know that there are several obstacles we might encounter during the course of our project. Challenges regarding communication, time management and commitments outside of our project are all to be expected. We all have other commitments, both personal and professional, that we are willing to manage wisely so they do not have an adverse effect on our teammates. If a stressful situation arises for

any of us that we believe might affect our team, we are willing to communicate our personal needs to each other with the sole purpose of coming to an equitable solution for all of us.
Decision Making
As we stated in our values we will respect and honor the opinions of every member. However, when opinions may differ and decisions have to be made, a consensus will be required by thumb up/ thumb down voting.
1. Consensus means that everyone can live with the decision. It doesnt mean everyone has to agree 100%. 2. The team will use thumbs up/thumbs down voting to make decisions quickly and move on. Thumbs up = agree with no further discussion. Thumbs sideways = agree, but have further questions. (Questions will be asked and answered immediately after the vote.) Thumbs down = cannot agree to the solution proposed. (Be prepared to answer the question: What would it take for you to go to thumbs sideways or thumbs up?) Anyone on the team may call for a vote at any time. 3. Members may abstain from voting. 4. No decision is made if there are any thumbs-down votes. 5. Meeting minutes will document the decisions made. If you have questions after reviewing the minutes, contact the facilitator and determine the course of action, such as to bring questions to the team for discussion again.

to both sides and attempt to come up with a compromise between conflicting members. Step 3. If conflict cannot be resolved or conflict arises between all three members where a compromise cannot be achieved within the group, a consultation with Dr. Watkins will be scheduled and all members will agree to whatever compromise she arranges since a solution was not reached without her involvement.
