Meet Our Newest Interns!
Hannah Reese: Hailing from Jackson, MS, Hannah graduat-ed in May from Carson-Newman University with a B.S. in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics. She greatly enjoys the outdoors, particularly kayaking, swimming, and running. She was a member of her Universitys cross country team and this year she broke her personal record running a 5K in 18 minutes flat! What is one fun fact about you that most people wouldnt guess? Ive visited three countries and forty-two states!
Brittany Taylor

Hannah Coakley: Coming to Memphis by way of Baltimore, MD, Hannah completed her B.A. in Urban Studies and her DPDs at New York University. She recently received her Masters of Science in Public Health and Human Nutrition from Johns Hopkins University. She enjoys yoga, writing, and travelling. She has lived in Accra, Ghana and London, England. What is one fun fact about you that most people wouldnt guess? The Class of 2014 from Left to Right: Rebecca Linstead, Brittany Taylor, Angela Stancil, Sara Harris, Hannah Reese, Chelsea Cordes, Hannah Coakley, and Tyrone Cole Prior to wanting to become a dietitian, my dream job was to be a cast member on Saturday Night Live.

A native of Kentucky, she recently earned her B.S. degree in General Dietetics from Eastern Kentucky University. She loves to read, especially novels by Dean Koontz and James Patterson. She loves road trips and relaxing at the end of the day with a nice glass of wine.

What is one fun fact about you that most people wouldnt guess? Im double-jointed in all my fingers. Angela Stancil: Leaving her roots in North Carolina behind, Angela recently completed her DPDs at the University of Memphis while working for the non-profit Girls, Inc. Prior to that, Angela received her B.S. in Biological Sciences from North Carolina State and an M.S. in Human Genetics from University of Maryland, Baltimore City. She enjoys DIY projects and travelling one of her bucket list goals is to visit all seven continents. What is one fun fact about you that most people wouldnt guess? I am from the city where Pepsi was invented (New Bern, NC) and I was born on Christmas. Chelsea Cordes: Chelsea attended high school in Mem-phis, but, as the child of a pilot, has lived all over the country. She recently earned her B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of

Sara Schopmeyer-Harris: A fan of the show Parks & Rec-reation, Tennessee, Chattanooga. stormy days. Tyrone Cole: Originally from Jackson, TN, Tyrone earned his B.S. this year in Health and Human Performance with a concentration in Dietetics from the University of Memphis. Tyrone started bowling at the age of three and has collected seven trophies. In his free time, Tyrone enjoys cooking, writing and spending time with his family. His goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of others through health education.

What is one fun fact about you that most people wouldnt guess? I was born in Hawaii, right outside of Honolulu.

Rebecca Linstead: Rebecca is finding the weather quite a change from her home state of Wisconsin. She recently graduated with a B.S. in Human Biology with an empha-sis in Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. Department Spotlight
Congratulations to Heather Gray, MS, RD for recently passing her Registered Dietitian exam! Heather is a clinical dietitian and covers the MICU, Cardiac, Psychology and Oncology patient care units. Erin Bleier, RD,CSG, LDN received her certification in gerontology, which provides her with advanced knowledge in the study of the aging process. Erin is a clinical dietitian and covers the Geriatric and General Medicine patient care units. Congratulations to Kristen Price and Karen Good News! Dennis, who were recently promoted to We will be implementing our new Food Service Supervisors! Welcome to Britney Stephens, the newest member of our Food and Nutrition Services team and congratulations to Eddie Strawder, who was recently promoted to cook!
