    METHODOLOGY

    a.HOUSEHOLD VISIT

    The area selected for the survey comprise of VII,X,XI,XII & XIII wards of Thalappalam Panchayath in Meenachil Taluk.Since the area is mainly an agricultural area it is not thickly populated.Most people are farmers the main crop being rubber .The area is rural one and there is scarcity of public transport systems.So I used to visit about 10 houses a day.Nearby houses were visited by foot only.Remote places were covered using motorcycle.Every houses mentioned in the list was visited and data was collected.It was an intresting experience.
