Partners should have the capability to: - Identify and engage high potential entrepreneurs - Engage high caliber entrepreneurs & investors locally who can be advisors to the initiative, mentors and/or judges - Facilitate access to the highest quality of training to entrepreneurs - Increase access to capital for startups - Increase the visibility of entrepreneurs - Hold viewing sites for online webchats and other educational trainings - Conduct outreach campaigns in the country or the region REC@nnect fosters entrepreneurship ecosystems in the South Central Asia (SCA) region through a comprehensive technology development program which includes high-impact technology entrepreneurship training and coaching for entrepreneurs who have an early stage startup with good market potential. Additional linkages are provided between market-ready technology startups and early stage investors, such as business angels, venture capital firms and potential strategic industry partners.

Rec@nnect Activities & How Partners can be involved


TechConnects Raising Smart Capital for Your Venture: March 12, 2014 TechConnect is an interactive video broadcast that virtually connects entrepreneurs, investors and mentors across geographies to foster the advancement of science and technology globally through practical online trainings. More than 8,000 people have connected to these webchats. Startup Boot Camps Two days of interactive training and one on one mentorship will be held in Nepal and the region. On the third day a Demo Day is opened to the entrepreneurship stakeholders in the region. REC@nnect will sponsor 10 entrepreneurs from the SCA region to join in Nepal for the training. Competition The competition will identify, train and provide resources to the most promising entrepreneurs from the SCA region. All innovative companies and finalists in the competition will be invited to pitch their technologies at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit where they will present to a targeted group of venture investors, angel investors and industry representatives. Selected entrepreneurs will receive seed funding, training and ongoing mentorship.
