Manufacturing process of a carbon wood ping pong paddle

1. Plywood and carbon layers are passed through a rolling machine to be flattened.

Figure 1: Rolling process 2. The plywood and carbon layers are arranged according to the paddles requirement (for example a plywood layer sandwiched between 2 carbon layers). Resin glue is applied on both sides of the plywood layer to bond the carbon layers to it. The composite materials are then compressed in a pressing machine into carbon wood boards.

3. The composite boards are then placed above the paddle shaped mould and stamped using a stamping machine.

4. The short handles are manufactured and fabricated according to the specifications. The handles are attached to the paddle using resin glue and sent for pressing process to further strengthen and bond the product.
