Anticipatory Activity for Lesson: Students will come in and sit in assigned spots until I release them to change for the daily activity.

Students will enter the gym and report to their assigned spots. Once all are seated I will release them to go get dressed into their athletic attire, and return to start their daily stretches. Students will perform numerous loco-motor skills in order to complete an obstacle course using a variety of objects. Students will be split into two teams and must complete every section then finish by shooting a basketball and making it, then running back to their line so the next player can go. Next students will continue the same obstacle course but instead of finishing with a lay-up they will finish with 5 push-ups and then run back to allow the next person to go. The object of the game is to have everyone on your team finish before the opposite team. Students will report to the center of the gym to ask any questions and receive instruction to go get dressed back into regular school clothing, then report back to their assigned spots and wait for me to release them after the bell has rung.

Closure: 5min.

Total Lesson Time: 40min.

Modeling: I will demonstrate the correct way to perform loco-motor skills needed to complete the course. Also demonstrate the correct breathing techniques while running and the correct form on how to shoot a lay-up. Guided Practice: Instructing and demonstrating students on what to do and how to use the skills appropriately during the skilled activity of the day. Independent Practice: Students will demonstrate their knowledge and skills by completing the course completely and successfully. Lesson Closure: Students review what loco-motor skills were used and what parts of the course involved speed, eye coordination, and agility. Once students have reviewed they will go get dressed in the locker room and report to their assigned spots waiting for dismissal.
