To Whom It May Concern: I would like to recommend Sean Barnett for a position in your facility. I had the pleasure of being Seans instructor for the pediatric clinical rotation of the ADN Nursing Program for Kapiolani Community College during the fall semester of 2013. The pediatric rotation consisted of 80 hours of clinical, simulation, and community hours caring for children. Clinical hours were held at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children on the Wilcox & Carter units. Pediatric patients with oncology, surgical, and medical diagnosis were cared for. Students provided complete patient care, assessment, charting, and administered many types of medications. Community hours involved developing a teaching project for a childrens class. This was highly received from the kids. Simulation lab provided an opportunity to work on skills and critical thinking utilizing manikins and case based scenarios. Sean always had a bright smile to bring to the patients bedside and worked hard to learned all he could about pediatrics. He has some familiarity with the health care environment with his current work, and it helped him during clinicals. I hope you consider Seans application. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email at joanek@hawaii.edu.

Sincerely,
