First Grade Newsletter

Dear Parents, Thank you everyone who donated stuffed plastic eggs for the egg hunt on Friday. I appreciate all your help and making all these fun events possible for our kiddos. We are going on a field trip this Friday pril !"th. It is a ! part field trip. The first part is to the #ucaipa Water Treatment Plant to supplement our learning about the water cycle. The second part is to the #ucaipa $ommunity Park. They will be eating their lunch at the park so please make sure they have a sack lunch. We will be back to school by %&''. If you would like to chaperone, please email nna $opeland or myself. Permission slip is attached to this newsletter. In (anguage rts, students will be working on )ow and commands. In *cience, students will be learning about weather and the water cycle. s you already know, +ay and ,une are *ervice months. long with learning about what service is, students need to complete a minimum of - hours of community service and make a presentation to share with the class. The - hours can be completed doing multiple services throughout the year. I sent home a guideline of the service presentation re.uirements today. Presentations can be on poster board, scrapbook, computer disc, etc. If you have any .uestions please email me.
