It was just a regular day May 16th 2032, at the John Wayne Airport, flights departing and arriving, when suddenly something went askew at 2:06 pm. Its routine, refueling the airplane, when the pump broke and didnt turn off. The jet tank overfilled and leaked mass amounts of fossil fuel on the tarmac. The toxins from the jet fuel drifted in the air, affecting numerous amounts of people. Reported cases of asthma attacks from the Hoag hospital came in shortly after. 55 people have been declared dead so far. Others are in critical condition. Anthony Sanchez, who was on the tarmac at the time, said chaos was everywhere. I was refilling the plane with snacks when I looked over my shoulder to see the gate behind me huddled with people running rapidly, looking confused. I thought maybe someone fell from the plane. I didnt know what was going on. I just continued with my job. Anthony also mentioned he asked what was going on but he was told not to worry about it and to carry on with his job. 3:43- numerous reports of people with asthma attacks enter hospital 3

Multiple 911 calls came in shortly after the spill. This affected people of all ages. The ones most affected were the ones whom currently had asthma. They are reported to have stopped breathing entirely. Currently, there are over 60 people at Hoag, all in critical condition. Those who do not have asthma still suffer a whopping cough. There are multiple posts within the city set up by Red Cross to distribute cough medicine. Health officials have come into the city to report on the problem. They are testing the location where the fossil spilled and nearby cities for air quality. As of right now, they are unsure how long the pollution will continue to affect the air quality. However less people are entering the hospitals due to asthma attacks. Nicole Winn, a health official, updated us on the situation. The fuel flow has been stopped now. There is not fuel on the tarmac anymore. However, the toxins released in the air cannot be contained. We encourage everyone to take caution and avoid going outside. Jet fuel pollution is known to travel in the air 25 miles away. The toxins in the fuel have caused cases of cancers and asthmas as well. During this time, with the toxins circling the air, no one is too sure how long it will be present. Everyone needs to be cautious and people who already have asthma are encouraged to wear a gas mask for the time being. This tragic event has proven the jet fuels harmful effect on the environment. Now people will be determined to change the type of fuel in order for an event like this not to happen again. Recent studies show that the toxins from jet fuel are extremely dangerous to the environment and to humans. Currently jet fuel is composed of fossil fuel. However there has been talk to replace fossil fuel with biodiesel. Biodiesel is composed with vegetable oil and animal fat. It would be healthier for society

Shoppers at Fashion Island wear masks to prevent the toxins from entering their mouths.
