My career of 30 years in nursing has been very interesting and rewarding. My experiences have taken me from critical care to ward nursing. I am presently working in an outpatient clinic (HPTP) at RGH and continue to work casual at FMC in cardiovascular nursing (has always been my passion). I have been active in the union for over 14 years in ward rep positions and as a member of the PRC Committee. My home life is very busy with my husband Joe and my beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Jackie-O and Sixpence. We have recently rescued a lovely Cavalier X dog named Piper who has added a whole new dynamic to spare time. I continue to enjoy many outdoor activities such as swimming, cycling and running (with various races thrown in to keep me consistent). - Heather McCulloch, HPTP

For Nurses Week, this year we will be distributing medical/bandage scissors OR white scrub caps. See your ward rep for your scissors/cap. On May 12th there will be a march on the Peace bridge along with the other UNA locals in Calgary, details TBA. Check the website/fb/twitter for upcoming details.
