RISK FACTOR DATA DISTRIBUTION IN OUT-PATIENT OF UTERINE PROLAPSE
AT DR. SOETOMO HOSPITALS GYNAECOLOGY CLINIC
IN JANUARY 2008 DECEMBER 2008
Background: In Indonesia, it is still difficult to figure the distribution of patients with uterine
prolapsed. This problem is caused by the poor management of record-keeping and data tabulation
about clinical health problems in Indonesia.
Objective: The aim of this study was to describe the distribution of some variables data that
supposed to be the risk factor in uterine prolapsed patients, the variables are the age of the
woman, the number of mothers delivery experience, and delivery method (vaginal delivery or
sectio caesarea).
Design: The design of this reasearh is descriptive study in out-patient of uterine prolapsed at
gynaecology clinic at RSU Dr. Soetomo Surabaya.
Methods: Health medical document of the uterine prolapsed patients who had walking treatment
in gynaecology clinic is used to collect the data that needed in this study. The data collected from
the health medical document from patients who visit the hospital at January 2008 December
2008 period.
Result: The highest number of uterine prolapsed is in group with the age is over than 65 years
old as 49 cases. In uterine prolapsed patients, 35.44% had six until eight deliveries during her
lifetime. This is the highest number for the number of delivery variable. 100% uterine prolapsed
patients did their delivery by vaginal delivery method. There is no uterine prolapsed patients that
deliver their child by sectio caesarea method.
Conclusion: This study concluded that the uterine prolapsed risk is increased in woman with age
over than 65 years old, the woman with six until eight deliveries, and in a woman with vaginal
delivery.
