-"Instruments have families also! Listen for 4 families in this song!" - Sing chorus to "Instruments Are Fun", then echo to teach students - What instruments can you name? - Write all instruments on board? - Which instruments are related? - Slide w/ instrument pictures: name each instrument and play sample mp3 - Show family names; assign one instrument to each family - Have students assign all other instruments - Hand out flashcards with instruments on them - (Students should think about their card and decide which family they belong to while the rest of the cards are being handed out) - Students move to the appropriate family in one corner of the room - With students still in their instrument families, play random instrument sample audio clips having the students point to the appropriate family it belongs to - Spotlight family of each audio clip should stand while other families sit. All students should be miming the instrument to the music.

- Corner game: Practice "Instruments Are Fun" and explain how game works - Students choose a family and move there while singing the song - Play instrument family sample at random - Whoever is on the chosen family should mime the instrument - remaining families point at the chosen family
