The History of Pizza

In the late 1800s an Italian baker from Napoli named
Raffaele Esposito, was believed to have created a
dish for visiting royalty. According to the story, the
Italian monarch King Umberto and his consort, Queen
Margherita were touring the area. In order to impress
them and to show his patriotic fervor Raffaele choose
to top flat bread with food that would best represent
the colours of the Italian Flag, red tomato, white
mozzarella cheese, and green basil. The King and the
Queen were so impressed that word quickly reached
the masses. The end results were that the dish was
well received to the others began the copy it.

Minos Pizzeria
Minos Pizzeria, was established in Bahrain on 5th of
May 2005. It is not first one of its kind in the Gulf
region, and for sure it wont be last. But pizza lovers
can be sure that Minos is keeping the tradition at its
best. To achieve the aunthenticity and the same taste
of the Neapolitan Pizza, all the main key ingredients
are imported from Napoli ( Italy ) as well as the
wood for fuel and the traditional Neapolitan oven.
