At night the air stilled ,

no stir of dust on the window sills,

as the ghost of dark chuckled
my hope for dawn all but buckled.
And on and on the air stood still,
no wind, no cold nor hot like solid steel,
pray for the light, the caress of grey skies,
Nightmares call, tell me the sun glistens with lies
Come dawn come, take away the wind
that doesn't stir,
Fill my heart with faith,
kiss my skin cool without taint,
oh how i pray, but the black grins true.
delights at the fear that runs me through.
At night the air was still,
darkest before the the taste of morning dew,
and yet morning took too far, far too long to come true....
