Job Description - Completion Superintendent

Responsible for planning the completion activities (programme, equipment).


1.
Works with Sub-surface team to design fit-for-purpose completions.
2.
Provides written specifications to the Logistics Supervisor for transport of equipment.
3.
Monitor material inventory for all completion equipment.
4.
Plans operations and prepares the Completion program for each well.
5.
Coordinates with service companies for the timely provision of equipment and services.
6.
Prepares completion sub-assemblies and ships them to the rigsite.
7.
Ensure equipment compatibility at drilling/completion interface.
8.
Prepare tender documents. epare tender documents Ensure timely arrival of personnel, equipment and services at rigsite.
9.
Provide efficient operation and immediate trouble-shooting in the event of problems during the completion phase.
10.
Strive for continual improvement in total well cost reduction.
11.
Prepares post well completion reports, including well status information and documents for handover to Operations Department.
12.
Check invoices prior to approval by Drilling Manager.
Note: As end-user, the Operations Dept must be responsible for the design of the wellbore completion. However, between design and production the
Drilling Dept is financially responsible for purchasing and installing the completion equipment. Thus, the Completion Superintendent must strive to
satisfy the well life requirements of the Operations Dept while optimizing the operational performance of the Drilling Dept.
