Mount Clemens Registered Nurse Summarily Suspended

May 16, 2014 - The Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) has
immediately suspended the license to practice as a Registered Nurse of Daniel Geary Daniels, R.N.,
of Mount Clemens based on his conviction in the 16th Judicial Circuit Court, Macomb County,
Michigan.
On December 19, 2013, Daniels was convicted by jury of two felony counts of Criminal Sexual
Conduct-First Degree (Person under 13, Defendant 17 or Older), one felony count of Criminal
Sexual Conduct-Second Degree (Person Under 13, Defendant 17 or Older), and three felony counts
of Child Abuse-Second Degree. Daniels was sentenced on January 15, 2014, to a minimum prison
term of 25 years.
On May 5, 2014, LARA issued an order summarily suspending Danielss license, pursuant to the
Public Health Code which provides for the mandatory summary suspension of a health
professionals license upon the conviction of a felony, a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment
for a maximum term of two years, or a controlled substance-related conviction.
