Depress sinus node automaticity and slow AV
node conduction
Reduce CO and BP hypotension
Treatment :
Supportive care
Whole bowel irrigation and Activated Charcoal
Calcium, antidote for depressed cardiac contractility
Other drugs : glucagon, vasopresin, epinephrine, high-
dose insulin plus glucose to maintain euglycemia

Highest toxicity : Propanolol
Bradycardia and hypotension
Agents with partial agonist activity (pindolol)
tachycardia and hypertension
Seizures and cardiac conduction block
(propanolol overdose)
Treatment : General supportive care, IV fluids
Beta agonist, atropine, Glucagon
