from the bracket of 20 and above. And with the educational attainment of

highs school.

2. Based on the findings, primigravida are moderately aware in terms of

causes and signs and symptoms, while complication and preventive

measure, primigravida’s are much aware.

3. Based on the findings, primigravida’s are sometimes practicing the

practices in terms of exercise and rest, in diet and pre-natal check up

primigravida are often practicing, and in terms of habits primigravida are

seldom practicing.

4. The result showed that age and level of awareness on pregnancy induced

hypertension in terms of causes, signs and symptoms, and complications

are independent to age, on preventive measures the level of awareness

on pregnancy induced hypertension in terms of preventive measure is that

it is dependent of age.

5. The result showed that the relationship between educational attainment

and level of awareness on pregnancy induced hypertension in terms of

causes, signs and symptoms, and complication, and preventive measure

are independent on the educational attainment.

66
6. The result showed that the relationship between age and practices on

pregnancy induced hypertension in terms of exercise and rest, diet, and

habits are independent on age, in terns of pre-natal check up the practices

of primigravida on pregnancy induced hypertension in terms of pre-natal

check up is dependent of age.

7. The result showed that the educational attainment and practices on

pregnancy induced hypertension in terms of exercise and rest, diet, habits

and pre-natal check up are independent of educational attainment.

8. The result showed that the level of awareness on pregnancy induced

hypertension in terms of causes and practices on pregnancy induced

hypertension in exercise and rest is dependent to the level of awareness

in terms of causes, while diet, habits and pre-natal check up are

independent to the level of awareness in terms of causes.

9. The result showed that the level of awareness on pregnancy induced

hypertension in terms of signs and symptoms and practices on pregnancy

induced hypertension in exercise and rest, habits and pre-natal check up

are independent to the level of awareness in terms of signs and

symptoms, while diet, is dependent to the level of awareness in terms od

signs and symptoms.

10. The result showed that the level of awareness on pregnancy induced

hypertension in terms of exercise and rest, habits, and pre-natal check up

are independent on the level of awareness in terms of complications, while

diet is dependent on the level of awareness in terms of complications.

67
11. The result showed that the level of awareness on pregnancy induced

hypertension in terms of preventive measures and practices on pregnancy

induced hypertension in terms of exercise and rest, diet and pre-natal

check up are independent to the level of awareness in terms of preventive

measures, while habits is dependent to the level of awareness in terms of

preventive measures.

Recommendations:

The following recommendations are offered based on the findings and conclusion

of the study.

1. The primigravida should be maintaining their responsibilities as a first time

mother to have regular pre-natal check up and proper diet during their

pregnancy.

2. The primigravida should not forget to exercise; this could help them to have a

good delivery.

3. The nursing students should utilized all the results of the study, promptly

initiate health teachings and stress out information to maintain the

primigravida’s level of awareness on pregnancy induced hypertension.

4. The nursing students should be exposed in obstetrics ward, and should be

given comprehensive lectures on topics involving high risk pregnancies.

5. The future researchers are encouraged to conduct similar studies by utilizing

other variables like comparison of awareness of pregnant women between

Pre-eclampsia and Eclampsia.
