Like a child

I entered this world very

childish,
always nave, and never
selfish.
Whatever I had in my hand or
mind,
gave it to the heartless and the unkind.
Like a child, I was deceived a lot.
A dreamer and unwise, well, I was a tot.
My faith and my love, they maimed,
they laughed at me and also blamed.
Treated me like an unwanted child,
a foreign, illicit, a bastard of a child.
or any !oy I had, they gave a frown,
every moment, they gave me hard time.
Like a child tormented me, with strife,
a friend, a kindred" brother or wife.
Like a child forlorn and forsaken,
I left them all, thoroughly shaken.
And so, gloomy, tired and mournful,
I left everyone and became scornful.
leeing them all, now I come to you,
#ity that like me, you are a child too.
