• Moodle was designed on the world’s most
popular web development platform LAMP
or Linux, Apache, Mysql and PHP.
• Moodle can also run on WAMP (Windows,
Apache, Mysql, PHP and will run on any
version of windows (Win95 up to Vista).
• Moodle was created completely with free
and Open Source software.
XAMPP
(A Web Server Package)
There is an open source WAMP
(Windows-Apache-MYSQL-PHP)
package called XAMPP
Note: the X in XAMPP is an acronym for
any of four operating systems (Linux,
Windows, Mac, Sun Solaris) that it can
run on. All four are able to run most PHP
based scripts directly from the package’s
installation directory.
Download 2 Zipped Files
1) xampp-win32-1.7.1.zip (82 MB)
2) moodle-weekly-19.zip (15 MB)
3) Install xampp first before you install
moodle.
4) Installation is not fully automatic.
Configuration inputs by user needed.
Note: The installed software occupies about 350
MB of space on the USB drive.
