XP INSTALLING

PROCEDURE:
Switch on the CPU and
monitor.
and next press DELETE
button

DELETE
And it goes to BIOS
setup.
Next insert the Xp-cd
Go to BOOT options.
And select the Boot device
option.
Press the ENTER key.
 And next it goes to boot
device options like……below
1st BOOT DEVICE SELECT
------CD-ROM
2nd BOOT DEVICE
SELECT-----HDD
3rd BOOT DEVICE
SELECT-----LAN OR FDD
Select 1st boot device from
CD-ROM.
And press F10 key to save
the settings.
And press Y and OK.
Next it will be appear boot
from cd-rom.
And press ENTER key.
Setup is loading files.
Next setup is starting
windows.
And here select the first option
To setup windows XP now,
press ENTER key.
Next it is asking WinXp
licensing agreement
And press F8 key to
agree.
Here select ESC key, it
shows the C’ And D’
partitions.
Select the ‘C’ Drive and press
the DELETE key, and ENTER
next select’ L’ KEY (so here ‘C’
drive is deleted).
Next select the ‘D’ drive
and press DELETE key
and next press ‘L’ key.
Next it will be appear
unpartitioned space.
Select the unpartitioned
space and press ‘C’ key,
it shows the size.
Allocate the size for
‘C’drive 10GB
And again select the
unpartitioned space and
press’ C ‘key to give the
size for D’ drive.
And select the unpartitoned space
and press ‘C’ key to give the
size of E’ drive.
Here select the ‘C’-Partitioned-1
and press ENTER button.
 Next it will be appearing like this……….
1. NTFS FILE SYSTEM------------ (QUICK).
2. FAT FILE SYSTEM-------------- (QUICK).
3. NTFS FILE SYSTEM…….. (NORMAL).
4. FAT FILE SYSTEM………. (NORMAL).
5. NTFS----NEW TECHNOLOGY FILE SYSTEM.
6. FAT----- FILE ALLOCATION TABLE.
And select the NTFS
(QUICK) and press
ENTER key.
Next setup is copying files.
And next appear
Next rebooting system.
1. Collecting information
2. Dynamic update
3. Preparing installing
4. Installing windows
5. Finalizing installation
And next NAME and
ORGANIZATION.
Next asking product key.
And Computer Name and Administrator
password
. Next Date and Time settings.
And next remaining partitions will be
taking 30 minutes
1. Next networking setting
Select the custom settings
And it is asking workgroup or computer
domain.
Select next button.
And then setup will complete in
approximately in 27 minutes.
Next desktop will be appear and install the
mother board drivers.
