Its wonderful to be back in school and Id like to introduce myself. My name is Michael
Ohl, my friends call me Mike, and I am many things to many people. To my family, I am a
loving husband and father. To my co-workers, I am a dedicated and hard working friend that can
be relied on as a great resource for many networking and internet related issues. To my friends I
am fun-loving and a bit of, or a huge depending who you ask, geek.
Ive been working in the Information Technology industry for 5 years now as well as
hold 3 years prior customer service experience. Ive worked for several well known companies
in their help desk including; DISH Network, H & R Block and AT&T U-verse. Currently though
I work for a start-up company called Support.com as a Personal Technology Expert. My
customer experience background comes from MCI, AT&T California, and Top Driver, one of
the only national drivers education corporations in the United States.
On a more personal level I am a father of two wonderful daughters, one mine who is 5
and the other 14 who is my step-daughter. Ive been married to my wife for 5 years this
November and we still have a great relationship. Recently I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid
Arthritis and I dont think Id be holding up so well without her, some of the stories I read are a
bit scary. My hometown is Mineral Ridge, Oh which is just outside of Youngstown, Oh but I
live in Sandusky, Oh now. And in Mineral Ridge there is a reservoir there that used to be a large
mining town called Ohltown. In the late 1800s the town was flooded to create the reservoir to
give drinking water to the area. It was chosen at the site for this due to its low elevation. Now if
you look at Meander Reservoir in some satellite images you can still see some of the foundations
when zoomed in closely.
