NecessityofGovernment

Whatwouldtheworldbelikewithoutgovernment?Howdoyouthinkyourlifeisaffectedby
thegovernment?Wouldanythingchange?Howdoyouinvolvegovernmentinyourdailylife?Doyou
driveontheroads,runthetrailsatyournearestpark,oruseyourlocalpostoffice?Governmentis
necessarybecauselifewithoutasingleroad,anypubliceducationorlibrarywouldbeexceedingly
difficult.
Roadscanimprovesomeonesqualityoflifebecauseitallowsdriverstobeabletotravelfrom
placetoplacequickerthantheywouldbeabletotravelonfoot.Thegovernmentallowsyoutousethe
roadafterprovingthatyouknowhowtodrive.YouthenreceivingyourdriverslicensefromtheDMV,
whichisanothergovernmentservice.Beingabletodriveisaresponsibilitythatdrivershavetorealize
beforeevengettingbehindthewheel.Oncethedriverisbehindthewheel,theyarenotonlyresponsibly
fortheirlife,buteveryonearoundthemaswell.
Publiceducationcandrasticallyimprovesomeonesqualityoflifebecauseeducationisabig
factoronwhereyouwillbeabletogoinlifeorwhoyouwanttobe.Educationisnotrequiredfor
everyonebutthechancesofyougettingabetterjob,forthebetterlifethatyoustrivefor,arealothigher
ifyouhavemoreeducation.Somethingsthatthegovernmentdoestoallowustohavepubliceducation
aretheEqualAccessAct,TitleVIIoftheCivilRightsActof1964,andTitleIXoftheEducational
Amendmentsof1972.TheEqualAccessActcoversspeechandassemblywhichalsoprotectsus
studentsfromviewpointdiscrimination.TitleVIIoftheCivilRightsactof1964protectsstudentsfrom
discriminationofrace,color,religion,sexornationalorigin.TitleIXoftheEducationalAmendmentsof
1972protectsstudentsfromanydiscriminationonthebasisofsex.Thisalsoappliestoanystudent
issuesthatmayhappeninapublicschool,suchasharassment.
Librariescandefinitelyimprovesomeonesqualityoflifebecausethelibrarycanofferalotof
helpwithanyschoolworkthatyoureceivefromPublicEducation.Governmentinformationisbeing
movedonlineandisbeingknownastheEGovernment.82.4%ofpubliclibrarieshavereportedthat
providingaccesstogovernmentwebsitesandservicesisimportanttolibraryusers.Besidesthe
EGovernment,thelibraryisveryhelpfulinitsoldfashionedway,withbooks.Forexample,thereif
thereisanassignmentthathastodowithanyresearch,thelibraryisagreatplacetohavesomequiet
andlookfortheinformationyouneed.Oryoucouldjustusethecomputersthatareavailabletothe
public.
Now,imaginetheareayouliveinwithoutroads,schools,orlibraries.Wherewouldthe
teenagersbeiftheydidnthavetoattendclass?Probablyoutwiththeirfriendsmakingsome
mischievouschoices.Imagineallthepeoplethatwouldhavetowalkorridetheirbikesallthewayto
workbecausetherearenoroadstodriveon.Granted,alotofpeoplewouldbeveryfit,butwhatabout
thepeoplethatdonthaveajobbecausetheydidnthavethepropereducationforthepositionthey
wanted?Howwouldtheyearnenoughtosupportthemselves?Ormaybethemselvesandtheirfamilies?
Everythinginoursocietyhasbecomeacycle.Everythingreliesonsomethingelseinorderforanother
thingtoprosper.
