When I started reading this short story, I first thought and imagine that this would the same as

those boring tales we used to read at school. As I was reading, some questions came to mind, like
for example: what sort of prize would that be? Why do the children go looking for stones? What
would they play to? Then while reading I never imagined the strange lines I was going to read. It
was a real shocking surprise to realize that lottery meant flying to heaven and pay for others sins.
Far less difficult to understand this sort of customs were considered socially accepted.
