Marketing Manager
Develop and manage a year-round destination marketing program for the Redondo Beach
Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. Responsible for proactive public relations program
that includes advertising, website, social media, collateral content, special events, public rela-
tions partnerships and research for the tourism component of the Redondo Beach Chamber &
Visitors Bureau.
Lead the Visitors Bureau Committee in short and long term planning within the allocated
budget of $350,000.
Increased Facebook fans by 60% in 4 months; write content for all Social Media Platforms.
Develop and implement cooperative marketing programs with member business partners.
Create and launch new programs and promotions to establish Redondo Beach in the
minds of consumers positioning Redondo Beach as a year-round destination.
Conduct research to determine economic impact, demographics, and effectiveness of the
Visitors Bureaus programs.

Marketing Manager
Marketed Goodwill Southern Californias services to local businesses.
Collaborated with programs to provide content for a variety of communication channels
including email blasts, flyers, outreach material, online content, and video.
Developed and designed professional marketing collateral to ensure proper

Marketing Manager
ELIC is a U.S. based non-profit organization, is one of the first and largest organizations
placing English teachers in Southeast Asia and China.
Developed and implemented marketing communications program for this international
organization.
Managed all aspects of marketing, including designing publications and advertising, media
relations, public information, and special events and projects.
Managed a staff of four handling administrative operations for local office, such as acquir-
ing travel visas to China, Mongolia, and Tibet for Canadian personnel. Analyzed and
created financial reports and budgets.
Represented University Programs via presentations on college campuses, churches, con-
ventions, and seminars. Conducted dynamic and enjoyable training in relationship building
and product knowledge for both clients and internal staff.

2002 Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau; Phoenix, Arizona
Multi-Cultural Sales & Programs Manager
The Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau (GPCVB) is a non-profit organization that
markets the metropolitan Phoenix area as a year-round convention and visitor destination.
Responsible for managing various multi-cultural sales and community programs to develop and
promote Greater Phoenix as a premier multi-cultural destination in the U.S.
Managed multi-cultural sales efforts to book ethnic group business to Greater Phoenix.
This includes the development of welcome receptions, Familiarization Tours and site
inspections for clients.
Managed the advisory efforts of the GPCVB Multi-Cultural and Arts Foundation (MCAF)
toward the integration and execution of the multi-cultural affairs initiative within the com-
munity.
Served as Editor-in-Chief, wrote, managed, updated and maintained Cultural Exchange,
the GPCVBs quarterly newsletter utilized to educate the Greater Phoenix community and
clients about local multi-cultural events, sales activity, market trends, and demographics.
Create educational opportunities for the GPCVB staff, hospitality industry and community
at-large that attracted and met the needs of the emerging ethnic meetings and leisure
markets.
Web Site Management, Design and Multimedia
Responsibilities included working with various departments within the Bureau to ensure
relevant online content.
Managed two web site redesigns, which involved complete new look & feels,
FLASH splash page development and strategic site architectural dissemination of online
information.
Produced an interactive CD/ROM promoting Greater Phoenix as a vacation destination
for meeting planners and leisure travelers. Production involved writing scripts, art directing
CD/ROM packaging and selecting vendors and printers for mass replication.
Interfaced with all levels of management and departments including Marketing, Visitor
Services and Convention & Tourism Sales. Maintained outside relationships with vendors
and Bureau members.
Managed online marketing campaigns appearing on AOL, Travelocity, CitySearch.com
Match.com, and Southwest Airlines. Wrote all copy for banner and text advertising.
Developed online marketing campaigns by organizing online weekend getaway contests
with hotels, airlines and car rental agencies. Additionally, managed database driven web
pages, including e-postcards and e-mail blasts.
Managed annual forecasts for online marketing, web development and electronic media
budgets.
