A descriptive study will be conducted to assess knowledge and attitude regarding
stem cells and umbilical cord blood banking among antenatal women attending
antenatal OPD of selected hospitals, Hoshiarpur, Punjab. Antenatal women attending
antenatal OPD of selected hospitals will be the study subjects. The sample of the
study will be 100 antenatal women attending antenatal OPD of selected hospitals and
non-probability convenient sampling technique will be used to select the sample. The
tool for data collection will comprise of demographic variables, self- structured
questionnaire and likert rating scale to assess knowledge and attitude regarding stem
cells and umbilical cord blood banking among antenatal women attending antenatal
OPD. The reliability of the tool will be checked by split half method by using Karl
Pearsons coefficient of correlation and inter rater reliability method .The collected
data will be tabulated and analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistics.
