Dear Sir or Madam:

With this letter, I would like to express my interest in AIESEC.

I am currently studying in State University of Makassar. I majored in English Education and I
have now entered in the seventh semester. I am 21
th
years old, I come from Bone Regency and I
am the fifth of seven children who are struggling completed study. My father's name is Mr.
Bahru and he is a farmer and my mothers name is Mrs. Mardiana and she is a housewife. The
numbers of siblings a lot and erratic income make me think more. Since first grade in the
Elementary school I have worked with selling guava, Golla-golla soddi (traditional candy), fried
food and also sold letters lontara to help my parents income and for my education. Actually, my
parents forbidden me to work but I insisted on selling. I want to be successful woman and
daughter. I want to be useful for many people and do not want today's children to experience life
as hard as I have ever been through even though it has made me become a strong and
independent woman.
Through this organization I am very motivated to be actively involved in various activities.
AIESEC as the largest youth organizations in the World make me really want to join and realize
my dream to get to know a lot of people. I want to add friends, broaden your horizons and
knowledge, and exchange ideas for development in education and social for better generation. I
currently have set up a community of learning and playing for children who also suffered a bitter
childhood. Through this organization I would like to establish cooperation and assistance in the
form of ideas and materials if there is to be a community "GUBUK CERIA" as a foundation.
Recorded there were 500 children who drop out of school due to economic problems, they also
do not have public restrooms, places of worship and private homes. I hope this brief overview
can be a way for me to realize the ideals of children in Mangasa Village, sub-districts Tamalate
in Makassar city.
Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to your positive response.
Yours faithfully,
Nur Khofifah Bahru
