2 Hardware Overview Using the Skype Cyberspeaker-W


This User Guide covers all VoIPvoice hardware Using the Cyberspeaker-W as a handset

Skype / Speakerphone Button. Use this


button to toggle between Speakerphone
and handset mode when in a call. When
not in a call, use this button to toggle
between the Skype tabs (Contacts, Dial
and Call List).

Dial Button. Use the dial button to start a


call or dial a Skype contact. When your
Cyberspeaker-W rings, press this button
to answer the call in Speakerphone mode.
When in a call, press to put calls on hold,
press it again to take calls off hold.

End Call Button. Use when in a call to end

Connecting the vTraveller

To install the VoIPvoice vTraveller, first of all


connect the USB lead enclosed to the
vTraveller. Then plug the lead from the
vTraveller into a free USB socket on your
computer or into a powered USB hub.

At the Install Wizard welcome screen, click

If you already have a previous version of this


software installed ensure it is not running and
then remove it first, see Troubleshooting

Ensure Skype Integration is checked then


click Next to continue with the custom
installation.

Click Change only if you need to change the


default installation folder otherwise click Next
to continue with the custom installation.

Ensure that Launch VoIPvoice Integration is

Switching Technology
When making or receiving a call using Skype,
you can choose at any time to use the PC
microphone and speakers or the VoIPvoice
USB phone.

For this function to work properly, the Skype


settings for Audio In, Audio Out and Ringing
should be set to Windows Default Device.

PC Soundcard in the Windows Control Panel.

Examples of use are as follows:

A call comes in on Skype, click the answer


button on the Skype screen to take the call
through the PC microphone and speakers.

A call comes in on Skype, just lift the handset


to take the call on the VoIPvoice phone.

A call comes in on Skype, click the answer


button on the Skype screen to take the call on
the PC microphone and speakers. At any point
during the call pick up the VoIPvoice handset
and the call will be transferred automatically
from the PC speakers to the VoIPvoice phone.

Make a call using Skype by clicking the Dial


button in Skype. You will hear the ringing
through the PC speakers and you will then
hear the call being answered. At this point, pick

Speak Caller Name


If this option is set, the callers name will be
announced when an incoming call is received.
You then have the option of answering the call
by pressing # or rejecting the call by replacing
the handset.

Speak Online Status


If this option is set, the online, offline status will
be announced when dialling a number using
voice prompted dialling.

Check for new Voicemails


If this option is set, notification will be
announced of any new Voicemail messages.
You then have the option of listening to the
message by pressing #.

Voices

Language Selection
Select the language for the voice prompts.
Choose from: German, English, Spanish,
French, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Chinese and
Portuguese.

Voice Selection
Choose a male or female voice.

Pronounce # As
This option is the way that # will be
pronounced when making or receiving calls.
The options are “Hash” or “Pound”.

Enable Speech Recognition


If this option is set, voice recognition
technology is activated. You will be asked who
from your Contact list you would like to Skype
when you start to make a call. Saying the
Skype contact name will initiate the call.
