Introduction
My current thesis statement is: An analysis of urban and suburban students standardized
test scores: Investigating the major factors affecting the increasing achievement gap
between urban and suburban students? I feel that this statement represents the study I would
like to conduct, which is quantitative. The data collection methods I intend to use includes
Interview and Scholar Article, which will inform my research thesis statement by allowing me to
collect raw data through interviews and employ triangulation by converging two or more
sources. Triangulation is also important to establish credibility.
