Secondary structure a regular, repeating pattern of shape in a
polypeptide chain, for example, an alpha helix or beta fold.
Polypeptide chain is not flat or straight.
Hydrogen bonds form between amino acids in the chain.
Folds into alpha helix, or folds into a beta pleated sheet.
