Problem
TO FIND THE ANGLE OF ALL THE SLOPE OF THE PIT TO HOLD THE
MINERALS AND TO PREVENT THEM FROM FALLING DOWN THE PIT. THE
ANGLE OF THE SLOPE IS IMPORTANT TO PREVENT A LANDSLIDE WHICH
MAY CAUSE INJURIES OR DEATH. IT IS IMPORTANT FOR MININING
COMPANIES TO COLLECT AS MANY MINERALS AS POSSIBLE TO MAKE
THE MOST MONEY OUT OF THEIR MINING HOLE.
Background information
The background mathemathics used in this problem are congruent
triangles and trigonometry.
In congruent triangles we need to prove the triangles are congruent
and in our example we used (SSS) where two triangles are
congruent if 3 sides of one are respectively equal to the 3 sides of
the other. This is used to find the slopes of the pits which are all in a
triangle shape.
In trigonometry we used cos rule using the 3 lengths of the triangle
provided. We used this to find the slope of the pit and applied this to
the other slopes of the pit.

Full worked out solutions
All slopes of the pits are the same which are represented in the congruent triangles.
We must prove that all of pits are the same.To do this we use congruent triangles in
the form of (SSS) where two triangles are congruent if 3 sides of one are respectively
equal to 3 sides of the other. The sides of the triangle are 70m,30m and 30m.
Now that they are congruent,we must find the slope of the gradient which is marked
as x.To find this we use the cos rule which is
Cos(A)=b^2+c^2-a^2 / 2bc
a is 40m,b is 30m and c is 30m
Cos(A)=30m^2+30m^2+30m^2-40m^2 / 2x30x30
Cos(A)=1/9
A=83 degrees and 37 seconds
All slopes of the pit is 83 degrees and 37 seconds
