GROUP NAME ID O2RML3 LOOI CHEAH SIN 13WHR11465 t 1.0 Introduction In this recent years, it was observed that the social media is become an important role to change the lifestyle of the society nowadays. People is put their attention on the social media and make the variety of social media as an important platform to interact with each other. In the meanwhile, social media is the platform and tools that people used to share the ideas, experience and perspective with each other. However, Social media has become parts of the life among the youth todays. It is also important to community especially for youth as it allow them connected with the world to sharing their daily life and ideas. The Social Networking site (SNS) is one of main factor which influence the youth through the various forms of social media. The site which is allowing the interaction among the social is consider as the social media site. It is including the social Networking sites such as Facebook, twitter, YouTube and others. The social sites such as Facebook are claimed that it had 800 million of active users around the world and half the number of the Facebook users is log in every day. It became the popular trend of the Social media. Besides that, through the research, it found out that there is 22% of teenagers always log in their social media sites such as Facebook more than 10 times per day. The youth are motivated to join these social sites to keep strong ties with friends and to strengthen ties with new acquaintances, but not so much to meet new people online (Acquisti & Gross, 2006; Ellison, Steinfield, & Lampe, 2007).

It is proved that the important of how social networking sites impact to youth. Moreover, Social networking sites also play an important role as an education tools which can help to communicate and educate the youth in the more interesting ways. Although there are many social networking sites provided such as Friendster, MySpace, but Facebook was still considered as the leading social networking site among the college or university students. (Educause, 2006; Ellison, Steinfield, & Lampe,2007; Kolek & Saunders, 2008; Madge, Meek, Wellens, & Hooley, 2009; Stutzman,2006; Tong, Van Der Heide, Langwell, & Walther, 2008).It is an efficient way to use the social networking sites to educate the youth since through those social media programs ,it can allowed the youth to gather for exchange ideas and collaborate with their assignments outside of their class .But the way ,it also comes out some negative impact of those social sites for the educators and students as some of them feel that it could invasion of their privacy. Furthermore, with the development of social media in the world, it had brought some of the negative impact to world which there are some risks had been highlighted by social networking sites. Social sites become a tool to place the youth in the danger position .The risk of social media is include the cases such as online harassment ,cyber bullying ,privacy leakage and others. In case, Cyber Bullying is one of the serious risks that cannot be ignored among the youth as it was reach a big number of victim without any significant punishment. The problem of Cyber bullying is slowly increasing among the world. Most of the young teenagers is the culprit of using the social media platform to send text, images and other forms of threats, shame t Humiliation, harassment, and mental torture or hurt other children. This kind of negative impact will be happens as most of them are still not clearly understanding that the purpose and function of using those social sites in the correct way. 2.0 Method of Literature Selection From the research, researcher was get the information from an electronic database search was conducted through Taylor & Francis Group. Keywords find through the database is: Social media, social networking sites, trend, challenge, impact to youth, positive, negative, education, Facebook, cyber bullying. Searches also conducted on Google scholar and Tarcuc ACM digital library. Only articles published in the past 10 years are used. Three articles referenced were selected based on their relevance to the subject of this article. 3.0 Pros and Cons of social media Changes the World According to the boyd ,(2007); Davidson& Martellozzo ,(2008), it is clear to stated that positive and negative of the social networking sites(SNS) and other social media platform influence the peoples life such as the work, family, education etc. But, it is proved that the use of Social networking sites has become a very popular means of peer-to-peer communication especially among the young people ( Martellozzo, 2012) .The social networking sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Google plus which can enables the teens to access the information in a way that the previous generation would not thought possible. Moreover, Facebook is rise in popularity among the world because it offering the opportunity for people to interact with each other and share the information. Besides that, through the research from the researcher, (Hew, KF & Cheung, WS, 2012), they summaries that the social networking sites especially Facebook is a very useful and it is attract t the researchers and educators. Facebook be commented that it can be an effective tool of education because it can offer academic benefits to both teachers and students. (Munoz and Towner, 2009) From the aspect of students, they can use the social sites to discuss their group project or assignment instead the teachers can contact their students with regard to some of the useful coursework links. In additional, to support this point, through the researchers Mazer, Murphy, and Simonds (2007) ,they also proved that there is increasing of using the Facebook by teachers not only the students because believed that it can give the motivation and affective learning compare than learning in face-to-face classroom environment. Furthermore, Selwyn (2007) ,noted that Facebook is the social networking sites which its attractiveness can let students interact with the education more easily in an informal way. Although the research committed that Facebook was most important for social purpose. In secondary, it is for the informal learning purpose. Students uses Facebook for contract with their college friends by organize the group meetings for an revision or project work purpose not only make those just an social sites .In the research got a students who is still studying say that messaging to arrange work with other students not just social. In the other hand, based on the journal of (Tanja,EB, 2009) ,it also got mention out that the aspect of tutor and lecturers attempting to engage with students using Facebook. They think that teaching through the social networking sites can help to break down the bridge and obstacle between themselves and students. Duboff, (2007).As social networking sites was give the benefit to the tutor, the company named as Lookabee had created the platform for tutor so that they can create their own Facebook application which let them interact with the students. It save the time of tutor as it is space that tutor used for distribute the school documents (Nicole,2007) .Facebook t be explained as a shared space and it also an education tool to break the traditional power level between the tutor and their students. According on Mason (2008), said that young teenagers are usually taking place in the medium of cyber bullying. Cyber bullies is out of control on bullying as Cyber bullying can remain faceless so that they would not feel fear on any punishment for taking place in those kind of bad action. Cyber bullying almost will appears in the social networking sites such as Facebook because facebook is a place that is freedom to speech. Bullies are lack of realize on consequences of their action, they cannot understand the pain of people who is being bully. So that, Cyber bullying should be prevented as it is listed as a serious social problem, this can cause the long-term psychological damage among the teens. Withdrawal from school activities, school absence, and school failure, to eating disorders, substance abuse, depression, and even suicide is the consequences of the long-term cyber bullying. ( Chibbaro, 2007). 4.0 Conclusion In the conclusion, i strongly agreed that social media is important and it can change the world through both of the positive or negative way. Social networking sites (SNS) are the main medium of social media that bring the impact to the world as it is widely used among the people .The positive impact of social media include bring the improvement to the education, economic, awareness of healthy and so on .For education, Students are preferred their tutor/lecturer to use the social networking sites for learning and teaching. Besides, the social also bring the negative impact such as cyber bullying .It is become the serious problem that caused by the social media, it should be take attention from the society as the problem of teenagers on youth cyber bullying will cause great psychological shadow to them. Increasing those kind of t cases can makes the world lack of harmony.
