This course is an introduction to pharmacy technology professions, employment opportunities, and basic pre-pharmacy technician skills
which may be utilized in either clinical or community settings such as retail, home health care, and ambulatory care pharmacies.
Intensive pharmacy specific safety and security training are provided including potential drug addiction and abuse issues relative to
pharmaceutical care such as robberies and identification of forgeries. Students are required to adhere to ederal !egulatory "gencies and

If you have an excused absence on the day it is assigned, then you will have one da to turn the assignment in without penalty. If you
have an unexcused absence on the day the assignment is due you are not entitled to make up that assignment and will receive a grade of

7. )pportunities designed to allow students to recover from a low or failing cumulative grade based on the student print out given
by the teacher every three weeks will be allowed when all work required to date has been completed %8) 8(I& and the student
has demonstrated a legitimate effort to meet all course requirements including attendance which includes five une,cused
absences including three une,cused tardies which equals one absence. Students should contact the teacher no more than three
days after an assignment concerning recovery opportunities after receiving a printout from the teacher. Teachers are e,pected to
establish a reasonable time period for recovery work to be completed during the semester. "ll recovery work must be directly
related to course standards and ob/ectives and must be completed ten school days prior to the end of the semester.
