To All Parents of Pre-Nursery children,

Welcome to what deems to be a very exciting year in Pre-Nursery here at
The British College of Brazil. My name is Mrs. Peres and I will be your
childs teacher alongside Miss Mariano who will be our Classroom Helper
throughout the school year of 2014-15.
We have had a wonderful start to our year. The children are already
working on the topic Myself and they seem to be having a lot of fun with
it. They have been working hard to make up their own paper face, to make
faces with shaving foam and, to recognise and play with their names.
The topics for this 1
st
Term will be: Myself, Family & Friends, Nursery
Rhymes and Christmas. These will help us work in all seven areas of
learning, focusing on skills that will help them embrace their first
school/learning experience. The topics will be explored by experimenting
reality within the classroom as well as the other spaces in school. If you
feel like there is any contribution you could make to any of these topics,
making it even more relatable to them, please let us know.
We also have teachers to teach specialist subjects here at BCB. Mr. Cardoso
will be teaching Physical Education and Miss Ramos will be teaching Music.

small groups.

You can follow what your child is learning at school by looking at our class
webpage. The link to access this page will be e-mailed to you every Friday,
directing you to the most recent updates. The website will contain photos
and videos as well as important upcoming information and dates. It is only
accessible to Pre-Nursery parents.
If you have any questions, or need to pass on important information
regarding your child, please write to me via the e-mail address below. E-
mails are checked regularly throughout the day and, where necessary, I
will respond as soon as possible. If you have got something more urgent,
please call the school receptionist.
I am truly excited already with how the children are enjoying school life.
I believe that we can make an excellent addition to the way you educate
your child. I hope that you will feel just as responsible for achieving all of
these goals as we do. Let the learning begin!
