Sac Community Center
The regular monthly meeting of the Sac City Planning & Zoning Board was held on
Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. in the lobby of the Sac Community Center with
the following board members present: Micki Quail, Susan McCollum, Arnold Thomas,
Curtis Bloes, and Frank Strain along with city council representative Teresa Bruening and
P&Z Officer, Stacy Carlson. Board members Bobbie Wells and Vicki Strouth were
absent. President Micki Quail presided.
Motion by Curtis Bloes and seconded by Susan McCollum to approve the agenda as
presented. Motion carried.
Motion by Arnold Thomas and seconded by Susan McCollum to approve the minutes
of the July 15, 2014 monthly board meeting as presented. Motion carried.
Due to the lack of public notice information regarding the scheduled Community
Visioning Meeting scheduled for this meeting time, it was decided to reschedule that
meeting for September 16, 2014 during the boards regular September meeting. The
meeting will be held in the Sac City Municipal Building at 6:30 P.M. Curtis Bloes will
notify the Sac Sun so there is at least two weeks prior notice in the paper and Frank Strain
will contact Brandie Ripley of Chamber-Main Street to get it on her list of
announcements at Chamber Coffees and on her KAYL radio announcements.
Curtis Bloes informed the board that he had received notice from Vicki Strouth that
she was resigning as a board member of Planning & Zoning.
P&Z Officer Stacy Carlson reviewed the list of new building permits issued and the
board discussed briefly with him some of the properties on the boards watch list.
Next months board meeting was set for September 16, 2014 at 6:30 P.M. at the Sac
City Municipal Building Council Chambers. Items to be placed on the agenda for that
meeting include the Community Visioning Meeting and review of city ordinances
regarding fences, pools, and sidewalks.
Motion by Curtis Bloes and seconded by Arnold Thomas to adjourn. Motion carried.
Meeting adjourned at 6:55 P.M.
