Fusion IV NVR: Base and Plus key Differences
- P Fusion IV NVR models provides higher network video ips
record rate & increased MegaPixel cameras support.
- P stands for advanced performance CPU and Memory
upgrade. It does not effect analog recording IPS but increases
network camera recording IPS & Resolution capability. B models
dont have this performance kit on board.
- Customer has to use P instead of a B model when one of the
following functions are requested:
Future NVR channel expansion
Additional Multi-MegaPixel cameras (looking at Estimator Tool)
DVR-side motion detection (looking at Estimator Tool)
- So, limitations of a B models are:
Less IP camera processing power
Limited opportunity to expand channels in the future
- However B model can become the same as a P model
adding the Field performance upgrade without return to factory.

Alarm
A Video Loss Alarm
occurs when a camera
that is set to record
loses its signal. This can
be caused by things
such as power failure,
loose cables or a
disconnected cable.

This is then sent to the
FVMS software where it
is treated as an alarm.
Each Fusion DVR comes
with Alarm (Sensor)
inputs. When these
inputs are activated they
can be set to be
interpreted as an alarm.

These types of alarms
can be IR detectors,
smoke alarms, door
trips etc.
Fusion DVRs have the
ability to detect motion
and subsequently
record based upon that
detection.

This motion detection
can be setup to be
considered an Alarm
Event.
There are 3 Different Types of Alarm Events
Alarm Events
124
File Number
ALARM EVENTS
Normal Alarms are events that occur that
ARE expected and not considered
emergencies.

For example, If a door sensor is activated during normal
business hours it probably would not be considered an
emergency.
Emergency Alarms are unexpected events that occur.

For example, if a door sensor activates during the middle of the night
there is a good likelihood that a burglary is occurring.
There are two different alarm statuses

Zoom
The FVMS allows you to view the
camera full screen. The video can
be adjusted to be larger or smaller
depending on the reference.
You can also zoom into an area of
the video by drawing a box on the
camera with the mouse. The video
will zoom into that area you
selected.
Speed Adjustment
The FVMS allows you to Fast
Forward or Fast Reverse the
video at an incremental rate. The
rate is control by a sliding bar.
The FVMS plays the video back
displaying each frame that was
recorded. If the FVMS is run on a
slower computer the video may
play back slowly because it cannot
process the data quickly enough.
If this occurs simply press the
SYNC button and the FVMS will
compensate by skipping the
frames necessary to make it
appear that it is playing the video
back at the correct speed.
