Christianity(Catholic)

Catholic Church was the only church in Europe during


the Middle Ages. Church leaders such as bishops and
archbishops sat on the king's council and played
leading roles in government.

After the death of Jesus in 33 AD, Christianity was


banned. Those who were found to be practising
Christianity was put to death.
Main Beliefs

God is the only God

He guides us, but lets us make our own decisions.

Jesus died on the cross for us to live a decent life.

Jesus resurrected three days later.

Jesus prepared a place for us in Heaven and is awaiting our arrival.

If you believe in Jesus you will go to heaven if you dont youll go to


hell.

God created the world in 7 days.

Baptism - a ceremony in which someone is touched or


covered with water to welcome them into the Christian
religion

Communion - a ceremony in which people eat bread and


drink wine in order to remember the last supper of Jesus
Christ

Eucharist - The Same as Communion or Holy Communion

Conrmation - a ceremony in which someone becomes a


full member of a Christian Church
Interesting Fact

The church had a lot of control over everyone.


Peasants worked for free on Church land and thats
why there was so many churches and things.
