1 Introduction
The fifth project introduced us to model animation. We learned the basic
animation techniques, which will allow us to animate in Pro/E almost any way we
want in the future.

2 Problem Statement
Create animations using Pro/E.

3 Result
3.1 Part A
Part A of this project showed us how to animate the model into different views.
This was very easy.

3.2 Part B
Part B showed us how to animate the individual parts. We animated an
unexploded to exploded view and back. This was also very easy.

3.3 Part C
Part C showed how to put view animation and parts animation together. This part
was the easiest because it only involved putting the previous two parts together.

3.5 Mini-Project
The mini project had us use all the animation techniques we learned and use
them all to animate the cell phone we created in a previous project. This was
easy since the animation is easy to use. The only problem I found was when we
had to animate it with the rendered frames, which took over an hour to load.

4 Discussion
I feel that in the mini-project, we did not have to animate it with rendered frames.
The only difference in the process between the rendered and not rendered
animation is on button click. Yet it takes an enormous amount of waiting time for
that one button press. It would have been more relevant to render a 10 second
animation instead of a 45+ second animation (mine was 65 seconds). Also since
this project is animation, we can’t put it into our report, so I hope

5 Conclusion
The animation feature of Pro/Engineer is clearly one of the easier and user
friendly ones. The interface and even just the basis of the animation are very
simple. I just hope we don’t have to make a long animation and with rendered
frames in the future.
