Genre(s): Mystery/drama/thriller Target audience: Male, 35-55 years old, assigned/mainstream psychographics
Focus Comments Targets
Cinematography Very good use of shot variety. Split-screen is well-
thought out. Didnt understand its significance until
half way through the film. Angles are very creative.
Perhaps include a short subtitle saying what each split
screen stands for.
Appropriate pace and content Pace is well-constructed and dont disrupt action.
Some shots where screen is black are too lengthy.
Reduce the blacked out gap length of time at 4:20 as it
is too long.
Character representations Male character reflects that of a middle-aged father
figure. Split screen allows audience to see two
personalities of character interesting.
Representation of mother and daughter is clear.
Using a subtitle could help set the scene and
introduce the character more clearly.
Targeting the audience Using a male character of the same age as the target
audience more relatable.
Have you considered a possible secondary audience
for your film?
Dialogue No dialogue.

Music/sound effects Well-thought out and tie in with shots at correct
times. Opening of drawer, reading letter and
breathing sound effects were all really good.
Smoother transitions of sound needed.
Could use a hospital bleeping sound effect.
Some soundtracks dont quite work with the images.
Editing Really like the flashes between shots show the
difficulty of remembering certain memories after
crash. I like when shot zooms in on image of car.
Could use a transition which makes it appear as
though camera is an eye and character is opening it.
Additional focus 1: Shot variety There is a lot of shot variety in this animatic which
makes it visually engaging.
