As many as 35% of pre-school children exhibit disruptive behaviors in a clinically significant manner( Anderson 1983: Webster-Stratton and Hammond 1998; Webster- Stratton el. al 2001). Many children are at risk for behavioral difficulties because of Families that are unemployed, poor living conditions, stress, low education, health Problems and coercive parenting style.
Functional assessment holds a promise for addressing behavior problem in the children The functional assessment is designed to identify function of problem behavior (Gresham et al. 2001). Functional assessment procedures include indirect methods, direct methods, and experimental functional analyses. These methods like the indirect method are time efficient and require minimal response efforts, the direct method are direct observation with conditional which capture naturally occurring environment behavior relationship. Experimental functional analyses can provide the incontrovertible index FBA (Shriver et al.2001) by providing experimental demonstration of the variables for problem behaviors. A study was done on a 5 year old child and the studies showed the child had a problem with temper he was kicking classmates, and punching. The evaluation of the teacher showed that he was the indirect method type. www.http:/library.gcu.edu
It is said that students spend more time in the classroom than any other setting in schools or environment. The teacher is the critical player in the creative active students with teachers being so busy with the curriculum and the demand of preparing the children to do well on test while trying to meet the overarching academic social and physical needs of students. Creating a physically active learning environment can be a priority for teachers to consider in the over all development of a child. They have develop a pyramid which gives the teachers and the students that is related on 5 different types of activities that can be integrated into the classroom structure. The pyramid is developed so that teachers can choose or develop activities within the their classroom context and environment. So many children that are school are so busy in doing school work that the teachers are forgetting that a child needs some kind of physical activity so that they can stay in shape. www.http/library.gcu.edu
Here in the United States in higher level education students are using pocket-sized devices to that allows them to record images from the classroom. Many teachers or instructions do not realize that the students are send text message or photos to other people because they do not see if the students take cell phones to class or not. There was a study done on 261 students from different universities and 92% said that they took their cell phones to class not to study but to be texting with other students. Many students use the cell phones to search the web, facebook, twitter, youtube or send pictures and they also access other social medias sites. ( Tindell & Bohlander 2012). Many instructors are being advised to learn the policy of their institutions related to students and technology. In todays modern western culture many students use these tools to communicate with others and are not paying attention to what they are doing in the classroom environment and the instructors do not know what can be done. But there are some schoold in the higher level that allow students to take tablets, laptops into the classroom to do work and research. www.http/library.gcu.edu.
