basic education curriculum. The government has planned to change the traditional way of learning, from
basic curriculum to k-12 curriculum.

This study is an attempt to identify the most efficient way of learning and most effective curriculum for
students.
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1 age
1.2 year level
1.3 Gender
2. what are the lesson techniques of their present teachers?
2.1 manila paper
2.2 projector
2.3 concept maps
2.4 others
3. what lesson techniques do you think you are comfortable of?

Significance of the study

It can benefit the teachers, parents, students as well as companies having high quality of
requirements. So that graduated students may achieve the high quality degree that most of the
companies need.

Teachers or educators may benefit in this study through knowing the best and most efficient
techniques if teaching students.

Parents will also benefit from this study through knowing the best for their child. And for them
to understand the right way of learning and the best techniques that their child may use upon
applying for a job.

Review and Related Literature

Using k-12 programs grading system as a standard, the teachers dignity coalition (TDC) gives a
government a B for its performance showed during the first week of the school year, which is
also contained DepEd order no. 31, s. 2012, B stands for Beginning which has numeric
equivalent of 74% and below. Other marks are D for Developing; AP for Approaching
Proficiency; P for Proficient; and A for Advanced. The TDC based its rating on the problems
surfaced during the first week of classes which includes the shortage in teachers, seats,
classrooms, toilets and other facilities. The group also pointed out that instructional materials
for K-12 curriculum which will be taught in grade 1 and grade 7 (first year junior high school) are
not readily available. And the worst, according to TDC is the governments disregard to the
welfare of teachers when the hired the kinder teachers in contractual terms and will be paid
P3000 monthly for the special job. The group again asked malacanang to consider
postponement of the program and call for a wider dialogue, information dissemination or even
national debate. The group instead, challenged President Aquino to put necessary funds to
resolve the shortages in school inputs, most of them are actually backlogs of the past
administrations.

Methodology

This study utilized the descriptive method of research. A survey questionnaire which was pre-
tested and validated by experts was used to obtain data. The questionnaire was written in
American English for easier comprehension of questions being asked. Interviews were also used.
The respondents were 20 Grade school/High school students of different schools chosen
through purposive sampling. Prior to the identification of respondents, a list of students who
were reported by concerned authorities as having been in a situation where their curriculum is
either k to 12 or basic education.

Presentation, analysis and interpretation of data

This section summarizes the collected data and presents results of the data analysis. This also
includes explanations and applications of findings.
