New developments in August

Recruitment for Helpline (HL) and Quality Check (QC) teams completed: HL: 12.5
FTE advisors + 2 FTE admin), QC: 7 FTE staff. This will further reduce waiting
times and help improve the quality of the service provided.
Key service providers in the region provided with SAE for use by clients who wish to
submit documents to HL (special delivery, pre-paid).

Performance data:

Helpline calls taken: 2061
Waiting times continue to be reduced since April.
Main issues: accommodation, financial support, health, change of circumstances
Number of ASFs completed in August: 1155 (S95:1052 & S4: 103)
Acceptance rate by HO: 100%
Number of Further Information requests (about information not disclosed on
ASF1s):119
Main Nationality: - Iran, Pakistan, Eritrea, China, Syria, Afghanistan

Services in the region:

Wakefield: office in Y&H (within Angel Lodge IA).
Outreach: Sheffield, Leeds and Doncaster.

Stockton: office in NE. Service by appointments only in our office base (Monday
&Tuesday) or at partners offices.

Outreach in NE: Newcastle and Middlesbrough. Sunderland is being explored

Engagement with regional stakeholders:

Community liaison and volunteer coordinator attending meetings across the region
on a regular basis.
