These 2 maps show the massive change in
how Tokyo's population is spread out. The
first image shows that most of them lived in
near the coast because of the lack of food
and overall survival reasons. In the second
map it shows that Tokyo's population is more
spread out.
Tokyo have (Japanese Yen) which is the third largest
traded currency and is considered as the worlds
reserve currency after dollars. Tokyo is unlike any other
major city as its range of the poorest to the wealthiest
is quite small. Most people have an average amount
and not many people are extremely poor or extremely
rich.

New agglomeration and "Tokyo problems"
Urban Problems
Tokyos urban problems are
- Pollution
- Sewage problems
- Over populated
- Clean water and food supply in the future
- Non organic or not a lot of trees, natural water flowing.

All these problems will not occur now but in 20-40 years they will start to be a
problem. They are the regular problems of most megacities. There are currently no
solutions to any of these problems.
How Tokyo has changed
Tokyo has changed quite a bit. Its main change is the day to day
buildings, transport and the overall look of Tokyo. Before 2001
Tokyo was not up to date with technology and had large shrines as
memorial areas. Now Tokyo is one of the most advanced cities in
the world and have optimal transport as well.
