The Rose

By: Jayla Anthony, Catherine Schaffrath, Danny

Perez, and Malcolm Horton

Once upon a midnight dreary, in a town so dark and weary,

a lady that was pure and peaceful was struck with something so
harmful.
While she was reading the doorbell was ringing, she opened the
door to find a rose singing.
The tale that was told was once so simple but at the same time it
was sinful.
The time she has to live depends on the rose, if it dies things
could get awful.
She was frightful.

It was so eerie, then something came creeping it made her teary.

As she watched the rose, it lost a petal she felt weaker this made
her more frightful .
She rushed to the hospital, and her head started was ringing as
she saw children singing.
They gave her time, her time to live, this made her very tearful.
After a month, her time was little, on her death bed she lay still
and not cheerful
Down she goes so peaceful

Mood
The mood of The Rose is death because the poem is
about the lady dying because she got sick, and the life
of the rose depended on how long her life was.
