Dear Uncle,

You shouldnt have left Russia in search for the United states. I say this because Putin is
a strong and great ruler. He represents strength and stability for Russia because he is going to
help us with the chaos caused by the ending of the USSR. When Yeltsin plundered Russias
resources he left us torn. Putin saved us by gaining central control over these resources. With
Putin in control of Russia the economy has grown an average of 7% a year. Also the amount of
people in poverty has halved. Another great thing Putin has accomplished is the monthly salary
for a Russian citizen has tripled. Also, Putin projects strength. He does this through his physical
fitness and ads. Russia needs a strong real man to run the economy and government. Putin just
happens to be that man because he is a very down to earth guy. He was a judo champion in his
youth and he does not drink, this shows determination and integrity. These qualities are needed
to be a great ruler. He also hunts, flies pilot jets and races cars. These two sports project
bravery, which is a good quality to have if you are a ruler. Uncle, I hope you find a great life in
the United States but i wrote this letter to let you know you did not have to leave. Each country
has its problems and Russia is dealing with it greatly by keeping Putin in power. I beg you to
come back and enjoy this new and refreshed Russia. The United states does not know how a
government should be run. If you come back to Russia, I promise our family will be safe. Please
write me back as soon as you can explaining your opinion on leaving Russia and of Putin. I will
be expecting to hear from you shortly uncle.

Dear nephew,
Putin is not all you characterize him to be. He is a cruel greedy man who will do anything
to gain power off of the suffering of other people. He placed Mikhail Khodorkovsky in jail for
giving his opinion to opposing government and power. He also drove Boris Berezovsky out of
the country and rigged the election votes in order for himself to win, which would gain him
wealth and fame. A real leader would not put himself in front of the people he runs. Many
reporters are comparing him to a modern day stalin. Stalin is known to be very power happy and
killed innocent people and opinions that stood in his way. Putin only projects himself as to being
fit through a fake image because he wants to prove a point that he is a strong ruler. I dont
understand how people are actually believing his little stunts and fake accomplishments. In my
opinion, he isnt a real man because he puts himself in front of his people. If he was a real
man, he would worry about his peoples wealth, rather than his own. That is why i moved to the
United States. It is a very nourishable country with a good stable government. I highly urge you
to come with me because in the next ten years, Putin is going to run Russia into the ground and
dance on the ashes.Putin says he is all for democracy but in my opinion that is a lie because he
takes away an important law in democracy. In a democracy government, each person in society
has a right to speak out and say their own opinion. When citizens peacefully protest, they are
controlled by police officers. This is known as a managed democracy. Im just warning you now
nephew, if you don't move to the United states you are in for a bad surprise while Putin s in
power.
